Home Learning

Our Chestnut Curriculum Maps give ideas of activities you may like to do at home with your child, please share any home learning on Tapestry.

Please share lots of lovely picture books to support and develop a love of reading.

Phonic reading books, these are decodable books what your child read to you. We ask that they read at least four times a week, it's vital that this is a positive and encouraging experience so set aside time when your child is in a good learning place.

Key word lists, each week on Tapestry we will let you know which list we would like your child to practise. The list have words which are phonically decodable and also common exception words they need to learn by sight.

If you have any questions about supporting your child's learning at home please come and speak to Mrs Williams
