Home Learning Term 3

Beech Class have been sent home with a Maths sheet to complete. They need to try to complete both sides. The focus is multiplication and division and comparing statements. Children should record down any workings out neatly in their home learning book.

Maths Homelearning

Spelling and handwriting.

Above is the spelling for Term 3

Please ensure that children are practising their spelling in depth. Spelling should be practised more than once a week and in a variety of ways. Spelling can be a big challenge for children and your support to help them learn is vital.

Children can practise their spelling using strategies at the start of the week and then practise their spellings by writing them into interesting sentences at the end of the week once learnt. Children should be writing sentences that include interesting vocabulary to add detail and using conjunctions in their writing to create complex sentences.

Example.

The young boy sped down the hill on his retro skateboard but his wheel came lose and he spun out of control.

Please encourage children to use neat, joined handwriting and getting them to present their work neatly in their homelearning books.

Many thanks for your support and encouragement with their homelearning activities.
