Chestnut - Reception

Week 3 Remote Learning - 18/1/21

Hi Chestnut Families

Well done to all of our amazing little Chestnuts for another fantastic week of learning! Your Tapestry post are great and I'm really enjoying seeing what you are doing. Well done to all the adults as well, you are doing an amazing job!

Below is a timetable & all the resources you will need for week 3. Just a reminder you need to join the 9.30am and 1.10pm sessions as I take a register which is then recorded officially. The Reading slots will remain the same every week, we will have a check in and read a Bug Club book. There will be drop in chat sessions on a Monday at 10am and 1.40pm, these are not compulsory, just there if you need a chat or any help.

Literacy, I will post a video of the story on Tapestry, please don't watch all of this straight away as we will be doing a prediction for the ending.

Math's I have attached 5 PDF's these are the follow up activities so you know what resources you will need. On the timetable you also have a link to the lesson video's. I have also included a link to the BBC number rhymes we are using each day, the children have been singing these in class since September.

Phonics, links for the Alphabet song & Phonics Play, which has the racing car game and other great games are below. The children need to watch my session, but if you have any tech issues, there is a link on the timetable to an alternative lesson where they will learn the same.

Please can I also remind you that they should be reading on Bug Club at least 4 times a week, I have heard all of the children read and they all have books available.

If you have any questions or are concerned about your child in anyway please use the class e-mail to get in touch

I hope you all have a lovely relaxing weekend! See you all on Monday for some more Polar fun!
